What is PoE Watchdog auto-reboot?
If a connected camera hangs and stops responding, the switch detects it and power-cycles only that port, so the camera restarts by itself — no technician visit needed.
Can I run a camera more than 100 metres away?
Yes. Normal Ethernet is limited to about 100 m. Turn on Extend mode and the switch can reach a camera up to 250 m away (at reduced speed, which is fine for CCTV).
Is Fast Ethernet enough for my CCTV cameras?
Yes. A 2MP–5MP camera stream needs only about 2–8 Mbps, and Fast Ethernet gives 100 Mbps per port. For 4 cameras the 100 Mbps uplink to the NVR is also enough.
